The Center for Campus Activities and Leadership provides limited technical support to students or student organizations who wish to program events in the McCullough Student Center. The Spaces
There are two spaces within the McCullough Student Center suitable for putting on an event.
These are: The Social Hall and The Grille
McCullough Social Hall
STAGE: McCullough Social Hall Stage is an odd trapezodial shape. It measures 37 ft wide across the back of the stage. It is 20 ft deep on the south side of the stage (stage left) and 11 ft. deep on the north side of the stage (stage right.) The stage is 3 1/2 ft. off the floor.
CAPACITY: Maximum capacity for the room is almost 500 people standing or 300 sitting (250 on the floor and 50 in the Mezzanine.
SOUND: (2) Yorkville TX8 Speakers and (1) QSC ISIS102W Speaker flown over the stage and (2) EAW SB1000 Subwoofers on the floor. (4) Yorkville NX20 Speakers are used to provide 2 monitor mixes for performances.
LIGHTING: 40 lighting elements (parcans, lekolights, and parnells) and 1 spot light - basic lighting designs can be accomodated if arrangements are made at least two weeks in advance.
ELECTRICAL: 6 120v, 20amp circuits; 1 208v, 50amp single phase, 4 wire; 1 208v, 100amp, 3 phase, 5 wire. (Note: College electrician must be hired to gain access to 100amp power source)
The Grille
STAGE: 9.5 ' x 26'
CAPACITY: 75-100 people
SOUND: 800 watt Yorkville portable p.a. system, Ramsa loud speakers,3 vocal mics, 3 instrument mics, 4 D.I. boxes, 2 stage monitors

The Band Room
The Center for Campus Activities and Leadership maintains a space in the Service Building where Middlebury College student musicians may rehearse and store their equipment. To sign up to use the band room come and talk to Tammy Grant in CCAL
HOURS:
Monday-Friday: 5:00 p.m.-1:00 a.m.
Sat/Sun: 10:00 a.m.-1:00 a.m.
RESERVING PRACTICE TIMES:
The Band Room reservation calendar is kept in a binder at Department of Public Safety. Weekday time slots are broken down into two hour blocks from 5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Weekend time blocks are self-scheduled and may be up to 3 hours long. Reservations are accepted no longer than one week in advance. Reservations for each week begin Sunday at 10:00 a.m. In order to allow equal access no person or band may sign out more than one time slot per day, and no more than 3 time slots during the week (Monday-Friday).
GETTING THE KEY:
Authorized students may obtain teh band practice room key at Public Safety each time they wish to use the space by leaving their College ID. The key must be returned to Public Safety at the end of the scheduled practice. Failure to return the key promptly will result in loss of access to the space and a fine of $50.00.
SOUND EQUIPMENT:
