2007 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS of D 2.
Middlebury College Rugby Club.
The club fields three teams. Our A side has a record of 60 and 5 in the North East Territory over the last six years, and we have not lost one game in our conference in the last ELEVEN years. We play in College Division 2, which translates into being competitive but not maniacal.
The Fall season is conference play, New England Championships and the North East Championships; 11 games if you go all the way. The top two teams go on to play in April, the next spring, in the National Championship events. All other teams in the division have a social spring with games against Old Boys, friendly colleges we normally do not play, and hopefully spend time developing for the next fall season.
Our Fall training is four days a week, from 4:30 to 6:30pm. We play most of our games on Saturdays, and we do have overnight trips in the fall with Sat. and Sun. matches.
