Ben was introduced to rugby at Bowdoin where he played on the back line.  He also played briefly in Jackson Hole, Wyoming after college. His first coaching experience was when a knee injury forced him to the sidelines during his senior year.  He graduated Bowdoin in 1996 and earned his Masters in Spanish from Middlebury in 2000.  He lived in Spain with his wife for a couple of years, Boulder, CO for five years, and moved to Bristol, VT in 2006.  He joined MCRC in 2007 and is a full time dad for 2 kids, part time farmer, and part time rugby coach, and is PUMPED for the season!

The men's team is very grateful for the volunteer assistance of Mr. Mitch Deacon and Mr. Nick McCardle
