Birding Club: The birding club provides a community for those ineterested in seeing the avifauna Vermont has to offer. We take trips to see the fall migration at Dead Creek, provide binoculars and field guides to interested students, and help in the upkeep of the local birding trail.

The Bunker:   The bunker is a student-run bar and night club open to all students on Middlebury's campus. We opened in January of 2008. We have a cash bar (for those 21+), djs/live music, and plenty of room to cut the rug. It's run by students, for students.

Chess Club:   The purpose of the Middlebury College Chess Club is as follows: 1. To provide a platform for the organized study and practice of the game of chess at Middlebury College. 2. To provide a setting in which chess enthusiasts can meet and socialize. 3. To increase public interest in the game of chess through social events and the advertisement of the club’s activities and notable achievements.

Gamut Room: The Gamut Room is a student-run, volunteer café that serves local and organic food and drink. Located in the Gifford Basement, the Gamut Room is also an art gallery, performance space, and study area. Open Sunday through Thursday, from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., the Gamut Room provides students with tasty and affordable snacks.

Senior Class Social Committee: The purpose of the Senior Class Committee is to raise class plans activities for the class throughout the year, as well as during Senior Week at the end of the Spring semester.

Socially Responsible Investment Club:  The Socially Responsible Investment Club serves to advise The Middlebury College Investment Committee on the management of the endowment in regards to social or environmental issues. Specifically, we offer our advice on how the college should use their proxy voting rights as well as keep updated knowledge of the social practices of those companies listed on the College holdings list that we are granted access to. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to advising the Student Investment Committee on social and environmental issues and raising general awareness on campus of the power of socially responsible investment.
