Derek Doucet, Outdoor Programs Director
Derek holds a Master's Degree in Adventure Education from Prescott College and has held outdoor education faculty and staff positions at several colleges and universities. He is an active member of the Association for Experiential Education, a Lead Instructor and staff trainer with Outward Bound, and a climbing guide. He is a professional member of the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA), and a graduate of the AMGA Rock Instructor and Alpine Guide's courses. He holds an AIARE level II avalanche certification, and is a certified Wilderness First Responder. His many years of mountain adventure have involved numerous first ascents on rock and ice, and ranged over 7 countries and 4 continents. In addition to directing MOP, he can frequently be found teaching our field courses.
Todd Wright, Senior Field Instructor
Todd has worked as a professional outdoor pursuits instuctor for over twelve years. He is a certified Wil
derness EMT, wilderness medicine instructor, ACA Coastal Kayak Open Water Instructor, British Canoe Union Level 3 Coach and Assessor, and AMGA Top Rope Site Manager. He has trekked, climbed and paddled throughout North and South America, Europe and Africa.
Art Mooney, Senior Field Instructor
Mountain guiding became Art's profession in 1995. In addition to working for MOP, he owns and operates Mooney Mountain Guides, based in central New Hampshire. As an AMGA/IFMGA certified Mountain Guide, Art has worked and climbed extensively in the North East, North America, South America and Europe. He is an AMGA technical committee member, AMGA rock discipline coordinator, and AMGA instructor and examiner. He also instructs guide training courses for the AMGA in rock and alpine disciplines each spring and fall. He instructs MOP alpine and backcountry skiing courses.
