Scott A. Margolin '99 Award - Outstanding First Year Student
Award is given annually to the first-year student who most exemplifies the edeals of concerned leadership, a passion for Middlebury College and a commitment to student life. This individual will have sustained involvement during the first year.

Angels Award
The Angels Award was established in 2000 in memory of Anisa L. Gamble '03, Tiffany R. Holmes '03, Iniko G. Johnson '03 and Maika S. Prewitt '03. It is awarded annually to a sophomore woman of color who, throughout her first year, embodied the spirit of Anisa, Tiffany, Iniko and Maika by demonstrating leadership and activism in the college community. The purpose of the award is to encourage academic excellence and affirm the important role of diversity on campus.

Scott Center Awards - Spiritual Life Leadership Award
Awarded to a student who advances spiritual life on campus or supports the spiritual journey of peers through prayer, study, or othe activities.

Charles A. Dana Scholarships announced at the beginning of each academic year, commemorate Charles A. Dana, a generous supporter of higher education and Middlebury College. In addition to the gift that made possible the construction of Dana Auditorium, Dana also wished that the College single out for distinction students who, early in their College careers, proved themselves both as scholars and as leaders in their class. WIth this honor, the College recognizes thier record of academic achievement and their potential for leadership and accomplishment.
