DiningInside

Accomodating nearly 300 students (although it often seems suspiciously more crowded than that), Ross Dining Hall is the first of the dining halls at Middlebury to be designed with food preparation occurring in front of our diners. Four stations offer a variety of options, ranging from pizza and deli items to food cooked on Middlebury's only Mongolian grill. Open most nights for students to study in, the Ross Dining Hall is also home to nearly all of Ross' largest events, including the "Viva Ross Vegas" and the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. commemorative breakfast.

The Ross Commons office is conveniently located on the first floor of the complex and has offices for the Commons Heads, Dean, coordinator, CRAs, and Commons Council and is continually in flux as Sue tries to figure out exactly where she wants all the couches.

While the Ross office may holds the brains of the Commons, the Ross Fireplace Loungeis where the heart lies. With breathtaking view of the Adirondack Mountains to the West, a baby grand piano, two walls of glass windows, and a fully stocked and functioning fireplace, the Fireplace Lounge is home to many of the favorite Ross events. Its flexibility promotes its use as a coffee-bar for Cafe Ross, a stage for theatrical readings and lip syncs, a meeting room for clubs, a dining room for Family Style Dinners, and a "study" area during mid-terms and finals FireplaceLounge
