        Committee Reports

o       Community Service

§         "King Cake", Wednesday, November 7th at the Wonnacott House

§         Faculty Auction

        To raise money for heating vouchers, 10 contributions already

o       Wonnagrant

§         Meeting: Tuesday, November 8th, 12:15, Upper Proctor

o       Send any committee ideas to the chi-chairs by the end of the weekend!

        Proposals

o       SIM concert

§         Wednesday, November 9th

§         Wonnacott to pay for smores and hot cider

§         $75 to SIM for playing = approved

o       MiddTV

§         Screening in Grille – hour-long episode addressing campus issues

§         $35 for food (co-sponsored with Cook) = approved

o       Special Olympics BINGO

§         November 19th

§         Request for a couple hundred dollars to aid with food and bingo prizes (with Cook)

§         More specific amount needed

o       Sock Hop

§         November 19th

§         McCullough – double check location, Coltrane as alternative

§         $450 for live wedding singer band = approved

        Video Game Tournament @ the Grille

o       Bernard to look into getting small TV's and a large screen (contact Doug Adams)

        Laser Tag in Bi-Hall

o       Guns - $3.50 each, plus or minus $60 down payment, money for shipping and handling

o       Need to talk to Doug Adams about logistics of using Bi-Hall on the weekend

        $6000 Event Ideas

o       Maia

§         Charity Ball (but can't charge students entry fee)

§         Get things donated to the event for a big raffle – students to buy raffles tickets

§         Kirk Alumni Center – idea for dance

§         Hadley Barn – idea for dinner in conjunction with dance

§         $6000 to go towards band, alcohol, decorations, etc.

§         Need to look into possibility of corporate sponsorship

o       Derek and Kirsten

§         Refugee Simulation

§         1-day simulation (6am-7pm)

§         Representatives from each commons to spread the message

§         To occur between winter and spring

§         $6000 to go towards the simulation and speakers (model UN)

§         Recruited actors and professors to help – need to look into realistic aid available

        Global Rhythms Update

o       Devin, Dan to be MCs

o       Translations cancelled – not enough people willing to do it

o       Marshall and Natalie – food

o       Ads have been put up, but need email out to all students

o       Give invitations to professors!

o       If you haven't already, sign up for set-up (12:00pm, Saturday, November 5th) or clean-up (after the show)!! Email Deb Tennen.
