The Office for Institutional Planning and Diversity aspires to make Middlebury a model of what a 21st-century liberal arts institution truly should be—a welcoming, learning community. We work with all facets of the College to build and maintain a diverse and inclusive community that is committed to broad educational opportunities and to operating within an atmosphere of respect for one another.

We oversee the implementation of the strategic plan and key recommendations of the 2006 report from the Human Relations Committee, and manage institutional planning to ensure that diversity plays a critical role in making Middlebury an academically vibrant and challenging place as students prepare to engage the world.
