Assistive technology is available to support students with disabilities at the ADA Office in Forest Hall, the new Library and in Armstrong Library located in Bicentennial Hall. The assistive technology located at the ADA Office is available to students on a 24-hour basis with advanced notice.
Assistive technology at the ADA Office includes TTY communication equipment; CCTV text magnifiers in both black/white and color; note taking aids; and a scanner that works with computers equipped with adaptive technology such as Kurzweil software that reads scanned texts aloud while highlighting the sentences and words on screen and the Zoomtext International screen magnifier. Selective assistive technology is also available for student use on a loaner basis. Some assistive technology can be used with languages other than English. The ADA Office has a printer available to students for added convenience.
Assistive technology including CCTV text magnifiers, Kurzweil software and Zoom Text International is also available in the new Library and in Armstrong Library in Bicentennial Hall.
Assistive listening devices are available through Media Services at ext. 5506.
