Judicial Boards Application
The application process for Middlebury's Academic Judicial Board and Comunity Judicial Board generally takes place in February of each year. Information will be emailed to all eleigible students in advance of the application deadline. Questions about this process should be directed to Penny Deacon (pdellven@middlebury.edu).
For more information on each board, please review this Web site. Additional criteria for student board members include:
- All students planning to be fully enrolled for at least one full semester in the next academic year may apply. Preference will be given to students who can serve for the full academic year.
- Must be in good academic and disciplinary standing.
- AJB members must have a flexible late afternoon and evening schedule to hear cases. CJB members must be available every Thursday from 3:00 p.m. through the early evening.
- Must attend mandatory Judicial Board training on the Friday before classes begin in September.
- Must be available to hear pending cases through the Friday before Commencement in May.
- Students who will serve on Community Council in the same year are not eligible to apply.
- Current student judicial board members must reapply each year.
- Students may apply to one or both boards simultaneously.
