Lisa Boudah, Associate Dean of the College & Director of Public Safety
Elizabeth (Lisa) Boudah arrived at Middlebury College in June 2000. She earned her BA (Arts and Humanities) from Colorado State University.
As Director of Public Safety, Lisa is responsible for overseeing the safety and security operations on campus and at the Bread Loaf campus in Ripton. Her responsibilities include the telecommunications center, College switchboard, patrol operations, investigations, enforcement of college rules, parking, Midd Rides, event security, party host workshops, card access and student room keys. Lisa is involved with evaluating and improving campus lighting, blue lights, and emergency phones.
Prior to coming to Middlebury, Lisa worked for a number of years in positions dealing with safety, security, enforcement and education of college students. She began her career as a police officer in Burlington, Vt. Later she moved to California and took a position as a police officer at Stanford University. In 1996, Lisa and her family moved to Massachusetts and she took the position as chief of police at Assumption College.
Lisa lives in Middlebury with her husband Steve and their two daughters Sara and Nicole. She enjoys time with her dogs, riding and working with horses, and playing hockey at the town rink.
