Middlebury College currently offers three programs to launch a student's career at Middlebury.  We encourage international students to participate in all three of these exciting programs.

International students and U.S. citizens who live abroad are invited to International Student Orientation, which runs from Wednesday, August 27 to Saturday, August 30.  With more than 80 first-year students coming from many different countries, these four days provide a time to get settled on campus after long flights from afar, to begin to acclimate to our culture and climate, and to process visa paperwork before new student orientation begins.

Immediately following International Student Orientation is MiddVIEW, which offer new students the opportunity to get to know each other in small groups through our trip programs that focus on Volunteer Initiatives, Explorations and the Wilderness (also known as MiddVIEW).  MiddVIEW is open to all first-year students and is an exciting chance to commence their college experience in a meaningful way.

New Student Orientation begins on Wednesday, September 3, and provides the official welcome to the Class of 2012 and other new students.  During the five-day program, students will become acquainted with the College and our vibrant, diverse, and dynamic community.  Students will also learn about their responsibilities both academically and personally, and the important resources that are available to help students succeed.  The program also introduces students to College policies and procedures.  By the end of the program, students will have a solid understanding of what is expected of them.

We will be posting more information about International Student Orientation as we finalize the details.  Please check back regularly for updates to this site.
