Peace Brigades InternationalWhen invited, PBI sends teams of volunteers into areas of political repression and conflict. Westmoreland Volunteer Corps - Each volunteer will spend a year serving the poor, the homeless, troubled youth or the elderly in a service or advocacy agency in Washington. D.C. Volunteers will live in the Westmoreland Volunteer House. The non-profit agencies will pay part of the housing costs, and provide a food allowance, health insurance, transportation and a modest stipend.
