Parton Health Center is staffed by registered nurses, two nurse practitioners, and a physician.  We are open 24-hours a day during the academic year (September - May). If a student needs care because of illness or injury, an appointment can be scheduled by calling  ext. 5135. Same day or next day appointments are usually available at the health center. Urgent care is always available.

Nurses will triage and schedule appointments with the appropriate practitioner (nurse, nurse practitioner or physician).

Extended physician coverage is provided 24-hours a day at Porter Hospital's Emergency Department which is less than one mile from campus. Emergency care, lab tests, x-rays and other Emergency Room expenses are billed to the student's insurance and/or charged to the student at the regular hospital rate.

Prevention of illness and promotion of healthy lifestyles is a priority for us. Students may come to the health center for any reason they would see their family physician. We can also refer students to private practitioners within the community as needed.
