The Office of Health and Wellness Services at Middlebury
College is a resource center providing a wide range of services
free of charge to all Middlebury students. The Director of
Health Education, Yonna McShane, provides workshops, courses
and discussion groups on campus focusing on topics such as
eating disorders, sexually transmitted diseases and AIDS,
alcohol and drugs, sexual violence, nutrition, wellness, stress
reduction and conflict resolutions. She also meets with individual
students regarding health and wellness topics and is available
for consultation. Educational resource materials such as videos,
audio cassettes, books, and informational handouts on a variety
of health related topics are also available for students to
borrow.
An additional service provided by the Office of Health and
Wellness Education is bringing nationally recognized speakers
to campus to speak on issues such as alcohol abuse, eating
disorders, rape, wellness, optimum performance, etc.
If you have any ideas or suggestions for speakers, or if
you belong to an organization which would like to co-sponsor
a presentation on campus, please feel free to contact Yonna
McShane at ext. 5141, or stop by the Office of Health and
Wellness Education on the third floor of Carr Hall.
