Middlebury

Middlebury's influence for positive change begins with each individual student and ripples around the world. See the impact of gifts to Middlebury through the stories of our students, faculty, alumni, donors, and friends.

Applying the Liberal Arts

Luke Elder ’13 and Max Hoffman ’14.5, both conservation biology majors, share a tendency to bubble over with good cheer, even—perhaps especially—when covered with dirt after a hard day’s work. Each has a different take on their 11 weeks with The Nature Conservancy, and on the occasional assignment with BiodiversityWorks, another conservation organization on Martha’s Vineyard. However, they concur on the fact that it’s hard to express all that they gained from the internship.

The Annual Fund

Vice President of the Middlebury College Alumni Association Robert ‘Bobo’ Sideli ’77, P’08, ’13 explains why participation matters. According to Bobo, every gift to Middlebury, no matter how small, adds up to change students lives for the better—more than you might think possible!

Financial Aid

When Barbara Ofosu-Somuah '13 first arrived at Middlebury as a member of Posse 11, she intended to become a cardiothoracic surgeon. But her journey over the past two years has revealed other ways the human heart can be touched. Through it all, the Posse Program, sustained at the College by Middlebury financial aid, has been a vital source of encouragement.
