The New Squash Center is a Winning Addition
The new squash center provides an outlet for athletes of all levels to play, compete, and connect. Part of Middlebury College’s first construction project fully funded by donors, the new squash facility has raised awareness of the sport, helped to bring the local community and the college together, and improved the athleticism and morale of Middlebury’s varsity team. The Feb Challenge
Whether breaking into an impromptu performance of This Little Light of Mine in Mead Chapel, or skiing down allen while wearing Hawaiian leis, Febs are not shy about expressing themselves. “Feb culture,” to quote Feb celebration speaker Daniel Loehr '13.5, “is about courageous acts, deep community, and heaps of love.”
Middlebury’s Class of 2013.5 is now part of a larger group of Middkids who have found numerous opportunities to share their “heaps of love.” From supporting environmental projects, to helping fund students’ educations, Middlebury alumni have, and continue, to give back to both local and global communities.
This February, we are challenging Feb alumni to make 99 gifts of any size to celebrate the arrival of 99 new Febs. These gifts will help Middlebury fund scholarships for students. Click here to make a donation and show your support for the Class of 2017.5!
We are focusing on four fundraising priorities: financial aid, faculty support, applying the liberal arts, and Annual Giving. Learn more.
Featured Priority: Financial Aid
The Potential for Change
At the Bread Loaf School of English (BLSE) around 70% of students receive some kind of financial aid. This crucial support will enable many of them to become exemplary teachers who will inspire their own students and revitalize their educational communities.
In this brief video, David Wandera MA English ’08, MLitt ’13 explains how a Betty and David Jones Teacher Fellowship and other College financial assistance changed his life by allowing him to study at BLSE. Emily Bartels, director of the Bread Loaf School of English, also discusses why financial aid is one of the school's top fundraising priorities.
