Erin Gallo is from Texas, where she began her first Spanish classes before Kindergarten. Her passion for the Spanish language has inspired many trips - both academic and personal - to Argentina and Mexico and has also encouraged her to obtain a B.A. in Spanish language and literature from the University of Iowa and an M.A. from the University of Nevada. She is currently in the PhD program at the University of Oregon. Wanting to learn another Romance language two years ago, she studied in the Middlebury at Mills French school and fell in love with the immersion program. This will be her first summer working at Middlebury, and Erin plans to share with students her love of soccer and music en español, as well as her Mexican accent.
