Sarah Ray is the director of media relations in the communications office.
Sarah works with local, regional, and national news media; writes news stories; and handles crisis communications. She is also a spokesperson for Middlebury.
At CIC/AASCU’s annual College Media Conference, Sarah has served in a variety of roles, from presenter and panel moderator to roundtable discussion leader.
Before coming to Middlebury, she was the first public relations manager for Bruegger’s Corporation in Burlington, developing a comprehensive PR program for the 440+ store chain. She was also a publicist in book publishing in New York, where she worked with a wide range of authors, including former Secretary of State George Shultz, author of Turmoil and Triumph: My Years as Secretary of State. (Scribner/Simon and Schuster).
Sarah is a graduate of Middlebury College.
