Learning and Development Opportunities for Staff and Faculty
We embrace Middlebury College's commitment to "knowledge without boundaries" by fostering learning and development opportunities for all members of our community. Since each member is vital to the success of Middlebury College, our focus is to provide outstanding programs and support for improving individual, group and organizational effectiveness. Here are some of the opportunities that we offer:
go/learning - a series of on-campus workshops that are available to all staff and faculty members
go/managers - a place to go for support materials for Manager Training
Enhancing Job Performance - The staff development fund is available to offset departmental costs to support a variety of work-related development activities. These may include: participation in short courses, workshops, and training programs, as well as opportunities for staff members to prepare training programs and workshops for other employees on campus.
Continuing Education Classes - eligible staff members can receive support via the Continuing Education Fund to enroll in credit-bearing classes at another accredited program or institution
Middlebury College classes - eligible faculty and staff members and their spouses or partners are eligible to audit or enroll in classes at Middlebury
Educational Benefits for Dependents
Middlebury College provides educational assistance in the form of a Dependent Tuition Benefit for benefits eligible employees' dependent children who are pursuing full-time undergraduate work at an institution other than Middlebury College that is accredited under section 117 of the IRS Code.
