Primary Purpose

Medical health clinic seeking dependable candidate with strong organizational and computer skills to fill a part-time Patient Coordinator position. The position shares responsibility for office administration, and provides visitor reception, patient support, and a range of clerical services to the clinic and staff. The best candidate will demonstrate professional communication and outstanding people skills, and will work well independently and one-to-one. Must have own vehicle or reliable means of transport.

Responsibilities

Interact with a diverse patient base in a polite, efficient, and discreet manner;
Collect, transcribe, record and file patient information;
Coordinate, record and route patient communication;
Place, receive, and route multi-line telephone calls, recorded messages and inquiries;
Update patient database and manage appointment calendar in a networked EMR;
Process and record patient payments;
Scan, mail, fax and/or file various physical and electronic documents;
Receive, assign, address and post mail and parcels;
Manage office supplies stock and durable medical goods inventory;
Perform general office errands, light cleaning and maintenance.

Education & Training

Experience

High School Diploma; Post-secondary degree and/or relevant certifications preferred
Fluent English; excellent spelling and grammar
Professional communication skills, on telephone and in person
Comfortable with Windows environment and applications management / substantial experience with common office productivity software
Strong computer skills in data entry and sort, mail merge, file and desktop management
Formal composition of business correspondence
Proficiency with multi-line telephones, networked printer/copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment
Prior experience with administrative support in a clinical setting is desirable
Valid Driver's License
