Primary Purpose

Do you like working with elders? Be part of a professional team sharing the planning and implementation of a high quality program of education, delicious meals, therapeutic recreation, emotional support and individualized care of frail elders. The Kitchen Assistant will be alert to the needs and welfare of the participants at all times, and will help on the floor in an emergency or time of staff shortage. Regular kitchen duties include: dish-washing by hand and loading unloading dishwasher- general clean-up of kitchen- putting away dishes, pans, utensils, etc.- assistance with meal preparation- assistance with special diet dishes- assistance with receiving and putting away orders. Be friendly, caring, courteous and respectful with co-workers and participants. Communicate in a concise and effective manner. Be dependable and follow through on commitments.
