Responsibilities

Provides weekly updates of the local ingredients within the Dining Services menus.

Makes connections with some of the farmers who provide ingredients and write about them.

Writes a monthly or bi-monthly newsletter for environmental initiatives.

Updates and re-creates the local portion of the Dining Services website as it relates to the local initiatives and subject matter.

 

Experience

Ability to write clearly and converse with a varied cross section of producers.  Must be organized and deadline driven.  Understanding of web design and GIS/mapping required.

Knowledge

Must understand the environmental initiatives of both the College and Dining Services and be able to relate these stories/issues to the student body. Understanding of web design/functionality.

Should be excited about our food and ready to explore where it comes from in the local area.
