Closing a Posting

One of the most common pieces of feedback that students offer our office is that they never heard back regarding an application that they submitted. PeopleAdmin utilizes applicant statuses ("workflow states") to automatically send the appropriate applicant notification emails. Please complete the following set of steps to close your posting.

  1. In PeopleAdmin, navigate to your applicant records.
  2. Confirm that you have assigned a workflow state to all of your candidates and that the only applicant(s) that you see displayed is the new hire with a workflow state of "Hired". If you see any applicant records with a workflow state other than Hired see "Updating Applicant Statuses".
  3. Complete an EPAF for each student hired to work during the academic year. For students hired to work during the summer, see Summer Employment.
  4. Send an email to seo@middlebury.edu notifying them that the posting can be removed from the applicant site.
