Crime Alert & Safety Message
Public Safety is currently investigating reports of entry and theft from a few student rooms in FOREST Hall and STEWART Hall. Each of these crimes occurred when the resident was not in the room and in some cases the student did not realize someone had been in the room until days later. In a theft from Stewart Hall, a stolen laptop was later found at the victim’s door.
If you have any information about these incidents, please contact the Department of Public Safety at: email@example.com or (802) 443-5133.
In the next week and a half, students will be moving out of residence halls, putting items in drop zones and leaving items unattended. This is a time to be more vigilant. Each year during move-out, there is an increase in thefts from residence halls and campus grounds.
- Remember to close and lock your door.
o PIN Code rooms need to be shut securely,
o Key doors need to be locked.
- Do not leave your property in hallways or unattended outside at any time.
- Report suspicious people or people looking through the drop zones.
