Middlebury

Not ready to talk with anyone at Middlebury?

Consider calling an anonymous local or national hotline for help. Some possibilities:

WomenSafe 24-Hour Hotline: 1-800-388-4205; Office: 388-4205
WomenSafe is local and provides crisis intervention, problem-solving assistance, safety planning and emotional support to survivors of physical, sexual and/or emotional abuse, including female and male Middlebury students. Although some on-call volunteers are trained Middlebury College students, others are trained members of the larger Addison County community. It may be possible for you to request a connection with a volunteer who is not a member of the College community.

SafeSpace Vermont 866-869-7341
SafeSpace provides information, support, referrals, and advocacy to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning survivors of violence. Support services include a hotline during established hours, direct advocacy, one-on-one support, and support groups.

RAINN (Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network) 1.800.656.HOPE
(for men as well as women)
This comprehensive national resource includes a telephone and on-line hotline, and may be particularly helpful for male survivors of sexual assault.
