ITS Leadership Team

The purpose of the ITS Leadership Team shall be to:

  • Provide leadership, vision, direction, policy and oversight for Information Technology Services (ITS), as an anchor function, for the Middlebury enterprise.
  • Articulate ITS missions, vision, values, goals and strategic direction.
  • Facilitate institution-wide collaboration and strategic partnerships.
  • Inform institution-wide planning related to technology.
  • Evaluate, approve, prioritize, facilitate, advocate and ensure execution on major ITS projects, operational activities and initiatives.
  • Assess ITS’ effectiveness and maturity, target and execute on opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive technical innovation and creative problem solving, seek to transform Middlebury’s use of technology.
  • Facilitate ITS organizational development and staff effectiveness.
  • Advocate for appropriate resources in support of ITS activities and operations and the institution’s use of technology generally.

All team members are expected to share their ideas, raise appropriate questions and find productive opportunities to contribute.  All team members will avoid conflicts of interest and are responsible for acting in the best interest of ITS and Middlebury generally.

The team is chaired by the AVP for IT, it meets weekly and/or as necessary.  Its members are encouraged to report regularly on progress and activities to the teams and work groups they lead and as part of a monthly newsletter to all ITS staff.  This team will assess its performance in relation to this charter at least annually.
