General Information:

OPT Guidelines for Students in F-1 Visa Status—Optional Practical Training (OPT) authorization is granted by the Department of Homeland Security/U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) after recommendation by International Student and Scholar Services for F-1 visa students to legally work in the U.S. Please contact the International Student and Scholar Services office for details.


Job Search Resources:

U.S. Department of Labor Database —a large database listing employers who have applied for H-1B visas on behalf of international employees. Users can search the database by employer name, occupation family, and state.

Global Health Council's Career Network —a list of positions in nongovernmental and governmental organizations, academic institutions, and foundations.

Idealist —a list of employment and internship positions in nonprofit and community organizations in 165 countries.

International Career Employment Weekly —a newsletter containing a variety of job openings abroad, primarily positions with U.S. companies requiring prior work experience.
