Important Deadlines - Commencement 2013

May 3:

Deadline to order graduation announcements in time to arrive before Commencement.

May 3:

Deadline for Feb '14's and others who will complete their degree requirements after May 2013 but by February 2014 to notify the Registrar's Office (registrar@middlebury.edu) if you are planning to participate in the Commencement ceremony. Please remember, the above mentioned group will march and be seated with graduating seniors, but they will not cross the stage for a diploma.

May 12:

Returning Febs must make special arrangements for on-campus weekend housing by contacting Residential Systems Coordinator Karin Hall-Kolts (khall@middlebury.edu or 443.3301). Weekend housing is available from 5:00 p.m. on the Thursday of Commencement Weekend, to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday (Commencement Day).

May 15:

Last date to order large print programs for the visually impaired for the Phi Beta Kappa Induction Ceremony and Baccalaureate Service. Large print programs for Commencement are available at the program distribution tables on Commencement Day. We encourage you to call our Student Accessibility Services Office for more information and personal arrangements. (802.443.5936 or for TTY, 443.7437 or litchfie@middlebury.edu).

May 20:

By noon: Deadline to notify the Registrar's Office if not planning to attend graduation.

May 22-24:

8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.: Pick up cap, gown, and keepsake Commencement invitation from the College Store (802.443.5334).
Open until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 24th!

May 25:

8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.: Last chance to pick up cap, gown, and keepsake Commencement invitation from the College Store (802.443.5334)

May 26 (Commencement Day):

9:00 a.m.: Senior line-up, east side of Old Chapel

3:00 p.m.: Check-out for Bread Loaf, Hepburn Hall, and Gifford Hall guests (no exceptions).

11:00 p.m. (at the latest);  Graduates must be moved out of residence halls. We regret that this departure time must be enforced so rooms can be prepared for Reunion and Language School.

Be prepared! If possible, ship non-essential items home in advance. Pack remaining items during Senior Week.
