Katie Romanov '11.5 in the running for "America's Next Eco-Star"

From serving as the Communications Coordinator for Middlebury's 2011 Solar Decathlon team to founding a U.S. Green Building Council student chapter on campus, Katie Romanov '11.5 has been a driving force for action on clean energy and energy reduction at Middlebury and beyond. The College nominated Katie for the "America's Next Eco-Star" contest—co-sponsored by the Department of Energy and D.C. non-profit SmartPower—because she has proven herself as one of our future clean energy leaders.

The winner of the Eco-Star contest will attend the summer 2012 Sustainable Futures Academy at the Salzburg Global Seminar in Austria and receive a fellowship in the Washington, D.C., office of SmartPower.
