and the Film and Media Department

New Hampshire is not known for its waves, but a vibrant surfing
community calls this 13-mile coastline home. The Granite Stoke,
directed by Ryan Scura ’11 and Dylan Ladds (RISD ’11), was initially
funded by Middlebury’s PCI MiddChallenge (formerly Stonehenge)
grant and recently was made into a feature-length film.

Every year, alumni return to campus for Homecoming to revisit their Middlebury memories—and to make new ones!

We hope that you’ll join us for a weekend of vibrant performances and exhilarating sporting events at the peak of autumn foliage on campus. Catch up with friends, relax, and enjoy a getaway to Vermont. The only thing we’re missing is you!

Check out the exciting schedule of events we've prepared for Homecoming 2012.

We also welcome the Men’s Rugby, Men’s Water Polo, and Football teams alumni, as well as two landmark Middlebury a capella groups, Dissipated Eight and the Mischords, for special reunion celebrations.

Accommodations

Housing is available at Bread Loaf and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Returning alumni who require housing must register before October 9th.

We look forward to seeing you!

From a conversation with President Ronald D. Liebowitz to football versus Bates to stargazing, jazz, and a Mamajamas 20th reunion concert, Homecoming offers something for everyone.

The weekend kicks off on Friday with a talk by Rick Tetzeli ’83, executive editor of Fast Company, the world's leading progressive business media brand. Alumni can visit the organic garden, get advice from the advisers at the Center for Careers and Internships, and check out the College observatory.

On Saturday morning, come hear President Liebowitz share insights into Middlebury today. Compete in the Peter Westra ’99 Memorial 5K Run, then take in field hockey, men's and women's soccer, and football games.

The afternoon also offers a chance to see Middlebury's entry in the 2013 Solar Decathlon green-building competition. Or take in a film by Ryan Scura ’11 that tells the story of New Hampshire's surfing community. A guitar concert, jazz performance, and the Mamajamas reunion concert round out the evening.

Accommodations

Due to renovations, there is no housing available at Bread Loaf this year. We would still love to know if you plan to attend Homecoming Weekend.
