Thank you for visiting the Counseling website. Counseling promotes and supports students’ emotional and interpersonal well-being within a safe, confidential, and inclusive environment. We offer a range of mental health and psychological approaches for students of our diverse Middlebury College community.
We offer short-term individual counseling, urgent needs counseling, group counseling, outreach and education, psychiatry and long term care referrals, and consultation services.

Parton Center promotes student well being. Our excellent medical, counseling, and sports medicine staff are here to help you if physical, emotional, or interpersonal issues become a problem. In addition, we have a wealth of health and wellness resources to support you as you navigate a demanding academic and social schedule.

B. Health Care Policy Statement
In order to take full advantage of the educational opportunities offered by Middlebury College, a student must maintain good health, and the College expects each student to assume responsibility for his or her health. The College does not stand in loco parentis with respect to the health care of its students, and its health care services do not attempt to take the place of a family physician.
