With the possibility of stormy weather in the forecast, the Amherst at Middlebury NESCAC West baseball series originally scheduled for a single game on Friday, April 18 and a doubleheader on Saturday, April 19 has been changed. The series will now begin with two games played on Friday starting at 2:00 p.m. on Forbes Field. The single nine-inning game will now be played on Saturday, April 19 at noon. Check back for further updates as they become available.

The Union @ Middlebury softball doubleheader originally scheduled to take place on Tuesday, April 8 has been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 29th. First pitch of the non-conference twinbill will take place at 4:00 p.m.

The Middlebury at Norwich baseball game scheduled for Wednesday, April 16th has been cancelled. Middlebury will host Plattsburgh that day at 3:30 p.m., in a game originally scheduled for April 2nd.

Due to field conditions at Hamilton, the Middlebury @ Hamilton NESCAC West baseball series scheduled for Friday, April 11 and Saturday, April 12 has been moved to a day later. The series will now begin with two games played on Saturday starting at noon, and the single nine-inning game will be played on Sunday, April 13 at 11:00 a.m. Check back for further updates as they become available.

Due to track conditions, the Springfield-Middlebury dual outdoor track & field meet originally scheduled for Saturday, April 5 at Middlebury’s Dragone Track & Field Complex has been moved. The meet will now take place on the same date at Springfield’s Blake Track & Field in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Middlebury students Kyle Finck '14, Sasha Schell '16, and Damon Hathaway '13.5 have released part seven in a series the chronicles the 2013-14 men's basketball season. To guarantee themselves a spot in the NCAA Tournament, the Middlebury men's basketball team needs to win three straight NESCAC tournament games and claim the conference crown. The Road to Salem follows the team for a week as they fight to keep their season alive.

In part six, you'll see that Joey Kizel has never shied away from the biggest names or the biggest games, especially when it comes to fellow All-American Aaron Toomey and the defending national champions, Amherst.

The Middlebury men's and women's hockey teams will both host NESCAC Quarterfinal games on Saturday, March 1st. The women will take on Connecticut College at 1:00 p.m., followed by the men vs. Bowdoin at 4:00 p.m. Tickets, which gain you admission to both games ($6/$3), are on sale now at the Mahaney and McCullough box offices. Middlebury College softball coach Kelly Bevere will offer a camp from July 28-30, 2014 at Babson College in Wellesley, Mass. The Northeast Collegiate Softball Academy (NECSA) is a unique three-day camp for high school varsity athletes who want to compete in college for high academic schools like those in the NESCAC. Other NESCAC coaches, along with staff from Babson, MIT and Wellesley amongst others, will be on staff for the camp. CLICK HERE for the link to the camp.

The Middlebury men's hockey team will have a "white-out" game on Friday, January 17th at 7:00 p.m. when the team hosts Plattsburgh. All fans are encouraged to wear white to the game to support the Panthers!

Middlebury College women’s soccer player Julia Favorito (Winchester, Mass.) has been named a first-team National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Scholar All-American. The senior helped lead the team to its most successful season in school history, advancing to the final four with a school record 17 wins to go along with a pair of losses and two ties.

The Middlebury women’s soccer program will host its annual spring clinics on the Middlebury campus, April 18-20, 2014. Clinic one will take place on Friday, April 18th and Saturday, April 19th. The second clinic is scheduled for Sunday, April 20th.

D3football.com has named senior William Sadik-Khan (Chappaqua, N.Y.) to its national team of the week. The tight end had three touchdown catches (13, 24, 22) and 124 yards receiving on eight receptions in a 40-13 win over Hamilton.

The Plattsburgh State Cardinals will host the 2013 PrimeLink Great Northern ShootOut at the Stafford Ice Arena located in Plattsburgh, New York. Middlebury and Norwich will meet at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, November 29th, with the Cardinals set to take on Wisconsin-Superior at 7:00 p.m.

D3football.com has named junior Matthew Benedict (Eden, N.Y.) to its national team of the week. The safety made 19 total tackles as Middlebury defeated Trinity for the third time in the last four meetings in Vermont. Benedict made 10 solo stops, including one tackle for lost yardage.

The squash center officially opened on Saturday, October 26th on homecoming weekend. At the opening reception, President Liebowitz said the spectacular, nine-court facility – and the new Field House under construction – are the first buildings in the history of the College to be fully funded by donors.

D3football.com has named Mike Dola to its national team of the week after a strong performance punting in a 28-17 win at Bates. Dola averaged 47 yards per punt on seven attempts. Additionally, he was 4-4 on PAT’s and had a tackle on one of his kickoffs.

The Middlebury women’s tennis team wrapped up its fall season at the New England Intercollegiate Tennis Tournament (NEWITT) hosted by Mt. Holyoke. Four Panther pairs competed in the “A” flight, named after former Middlebury coach Gail Smith.
