Loss, Grief, & Mourning

With the rest of the community, we are  deeply shocked to hear of the death of one of our students. Such news can create unexpected, powerful emotions. We want to remind you that none of us need experience such feelings alone. Please reach out to friends, family, staff, or faculty if you or someone you know is struggling in the days or weeks ahead. There are multiple places of assistance on and off campus.

If you would like to schedule an individual counseling session, now or in the future, please contact 802-443-5141 to set up an appointment.

A drop-in grief support group will begin Friday, April 10, 2015 at 2PM and will continue to meet until the end of the semester. Call Parton Counseling for more information.

Chaplains at the Scott Center for Spiritual and Religious Life are available for drop in appointments much of the day today, or you can call 802-443-5626 to make an appointment with a specific chaplain.

Commons offices, deans, and residential life staff are also available.

When offices are closed, support staff can be reached through the Department of Public Safety (802-443-5911).
