The Department of Public Safety (DPS) produces a written daily crime log and fire log that is available to the public, as required by the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, 20 USC 1092 (f), 34CFR668.46 (“The Clery Act”).
The purpose of the daily log crime log is to provide information about valid complaints of criminal and other significant incidents occurring on campus to members of the College community, which might be relevant for their safety and security.
The MiddCard is an official form of identification at Middlebury College. You should protect the card just like a credit card, driver's license or other valuable piece of identification. You are expected to take reasonable precautions to prevent unauthorized use. The cards are the property of the college and should be presented or surrendered to college staff upon request. More information about MiddCard polices can be found in the College handbook.
DPS creates and distributes Safety Alerts when a specific safety issue arises and requires public notification. For support and safety reasons, we have located this feed off-site at Google Sites.
The Announcements 2 hours or older will be listed below.
