The Department of Public Safety (DPS) produces a written daily log that is available to the public, as required by the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, 20 USC 1092 (f), 34CFR668.46 (“The Clery Act”).
The purpose of the daily log is to provide information about valid complaints of criminal and other significant incidents occurring on campus to members of the College community, which might be relevant for their safety and security.
Campus Security Authorities
The information below is for the sole use of those person designated as Campus Security Authorities (CSA) at and for Middlebury College as required by the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistic Act, (Clery Act) as part of the Higher Education act of 1965.
If a Middlebury College student is suspected to be missing from campus, immediately report it to the Department of Public Safety, student life staff member (i.e. commons coordinator, RA, CRA, FYC) Commons Dean or Dean of the College.
