2013/2014 season

Our May 4, 2014 program, with the Vermont Choral Union

A special Sunday evening spring concert on May 4 highlighted two community-based choral ensembles, theVermont Choral Union and the Middlebury College Community Chorus. The concert took place at Mead Chapel on the college campus at 7:30 p.m. The Choral Union made its first appearance in Middlebury under the direction of Jeff Rehbach in this performance, while the Community Chorus returned to the Chapel for its annual May concert.

College Community Chorus – Students, alumni, staff, faculty, and community members join together to sing classical works alongside newly composed choral music and arrangements of traditional and popular songs, culminating in a performance in Mead Chapel each semester.

Under the direction of Jeffrey Buettner, the Middlebury College Choir sings music of major styles and time periods of the choral canon, folk music, world music, American music and new compositions. College Choir performs choral-orchestral works with student instrumentalists, and student soloists are featured frequently. Recent repertoire includes "Ascension Oratorio" by J.S.

Fall Term 2014 Ensemble Performances

Women's Glee Club

Women's Glee Club sings a cappella and accompanied music of many genres including popular, world music, folk, classical and new music. Come join us! Glee rehearsals are Monday and Wednesday, 7:00-8:30 PM in Mead Chapel. Glee performs in music department choral concerts and for Middlebury area community outreach events each semester.
