Meet Up for Families

Join us for an opportunity to connect with fellow incoming Feb families (open to parents and guardians only). Enjoy a night of fun as you share and chat with families of other students. A team from Orientation and the Office of Advancement will be available to answer questions. Please fill out this form to confirm your attendance at the event. A link to join will be sent the day of. 

Student Life Live Webinar and Q&A

Students and Families are invited to hear from a variety of employees from departments that support student life on campus, as well as from a few current students. There will be representatives from offices such as the Dean of Students, Environmental Health and Safety, Health and Wellness Education, Residential Life, Dining, First-Year Seminars, Student Life Deans, Student Activities, and the Student Life advisor for remote learners. Check your inbox for the Zoom link.

CCE Family Drop In Panel

Interested in learning about how students can be engaged in the community? Volunteer with local community organizations? Find internships and receive funding? Learn civil skills and be a part of democracy initiatives? Join us to learn about CCE programs and opportunities available to students!


This traditional event, led by President Patton, symbolizes the beginning of your Middlebury academic journey.  This event will be live-streamed at 8:30pm EST.  An email with a link to the live-stream will be emailed to students and families. A recording will be posted on this website after the event, for those who cannot watch live.

  • Local Resources— Additionally, helping your student settle into Middlebury may require making new bank accounts, transferring prescriptions, and being aware of where to shop for necessary supplies.

  • Recipes from Home— Do you have a favorite dish that reminds you of home? Let dining services make it for you. Send us your favorite recipe—whatever you love the most—then let us recreate the flavors and aromas that remind you of home. Share your favorite family recipes with students, faculty, and staff while you enjoy a taste of home. Recipes will be prepared in our kitchens using only the freshest ingredients. We’ll let you know when we serve your recipe and will display your name beside your favorite dish. Please submit ideas here, and remember to be as detailed as possible!
