Allies OPEN: Toxic Masculinity

Allies at MIIS presents its second Open Discussion of this semester. Our topic is Toxic Masculinity - a concept that describes the social construction of manhood with associated traits like being strong, emotionless, aggressive, hyper sexual, or dominant. Toxic masculinity establishes a set of standards for men that end up damaging their lives and the lives of people around them. The OPEN:disMIISsing prejudice series is a collaborative exercise that encourages dialogue on critical issues related to racial equity and keep our campus dynamics central in the conversation.
