Experiencing Grief and Loss: A Book Club, of Sorts
These monthly gatherings are open to students experiencing grief and all types of loss (of a parent, grandparent, sibling, partner, friend, mentor, etc.). Experiencing grief and loss can feel isolating, overwhelming, or an array of other heavy emotions while also fulfilling your role as a college student. At these gatherings, students are welcome to share their experiences to make meaning of their grief and loss in this moment right now. Additionally, each semester, a book or blog focused on navigating grief and loss will be chosen to follow along with the rest of the group and to invite conversation (it is not necessary you complete the readings before the group meets).
Facilitators: Michelle Kaczynski, MA, Licensed Psychologist-Master of Middlebury Counseling Center at mkaczynski@middlebury.edu and Jenny Magoon, Counseling Intern at jmagoon@middlebury.edu
How to sign up: Drop-in style meaning that students can come to one, some, or all of the sessions. Please contact facilitators of the group with any questions.
