For the last 35 years, Emily has litigated cases against industrial polluters for the harms they have caused to their neighbors, and to the environment. Defendants have included Unifirst Corporation, International Paper Company, General Electric, Alaska Pulp Company, and others. She will discuss the legal bases for such claims, the social value of bringing such claims, and the ways in which the law, and litigation practices, have changed over time.
