QAAAM x MIRA Film Screening + Q&A: "Forbidden: Undocumented and Queer in Rural America"

In an effort to explore the intersection of undocumented status and queer identity, Queers and Allies at MIIS (QAAAM), in partnership with the MIIS Immigrants Rights Alliance (MIRA) will be screening “Forbidden: Undocumented and Queer in Rural America”.

This feature length documentary follows the journey of an inspiring young man whose story is exceptional, although not unique. The film chronicles Moises Serrano’s work as an activist for his community, all while trying to forge a path for his own future.

Mr. Serrano will join the audience via video call for a 30-minute Q&A session after the screening in an effort to elicit active engage with these weighty subjects. Admission to the screening and Q&A session is free of charge.
