Shotokan Karate Class for Students

The MIIS Shotokan Karate class trains in traditional Japanese Karate-Do and is open to all MIIS students. Training includes basics (kihon), form training (kata), and sparring (kumite). Training develops physical strength, flexibility, endurance, stamina, self-discipline and self-defense. No experience necessary! Wear workout clothes or a White Karate Gi, Please do not wear jewelry and strong perfume. Bring a water bottle – you’ll sweat and need to hydrate.
Taught by a local certified Shotokan Karate instructor.
