Off Campus MIIS related event

Closed to the Public

During the October River Health Day, we will be watering and weeding native plants and removing invasive plants along the banks of the San Lorenzo River to improve biodiversity and habitat complexity in the river ecosystem.

Gloves, tools and light refreshments provided. We recommend that all volunteers dress in comfortable gardening clothes, include long pants, socks and sturdy closed-toe shoes. Bring layers, sun protection and a reusable water bottle.

This event will take place on the east bank of the San Lorenzo River downstream of the Soquel Avenue Bridge in Santa Cruz starting at 9:30AM. The Peace Corps Club will organize a carpool leaving from MIIS around 7:30-8AM. (Specific time TBD). Email Lawrence at lgarber@middlebury.edu to access the carpool sign-up sheet or with questions!
