SASA/Environmental Coalition Film Screening + Discussion

Join the South Asian Student Association and the Campus Sustainability Coordinators for a screening of two short films focused on environmental racism in South Asia. The screenings will be followed by a discussion.

SASA Film Screening: Haider

Come join SASA to watch the film “Haider,” which is an adaptation of Shakespeare’s Hamlet in a Kashmiri context. The film grapples with issues that Kashmir and its people faced through the lens of a young man who returns to Kashmir after his father’s disappearance to confront his uncle - the man he suspects to have a role in his father’s fate. The film will be followed by a discussion. Snacks will be provided.
