The Russian program equips students with the latest skill sets for professional careers in translation, interpretation, and localization management.
The program is ideal for candidates whose native language is either Russian or English and whose first foreign language is either Russian or English, at a near-native level. Students are exposed to an intensive curriculum that gradually develops a high level of skills, including consecutive and simultaneous techniques. The program puts a strong emphasis on current market needs, and courses cover topics such as the oil and gas industry, space exploration, nuclear energy, nonproliferation of WMD, technology, and business and finance. All of our faculty members, both permanent and adjunct, are well-known professionals, and each course is taught by a native speaker of the target language.
During summer and winter breaks, students take advantage of available internships at organizations such as Stanford Hospitals and Clinics, Janus Worldwide, Medialocate, and Logrus IT.
Our graduates are actively working all over the world in positions at high-profile companies and organizations, including eBay, World Intellectual Property Organization, TechTrans International, and SDL.
