Ask Me About Joint MBA/MA in International Policy and Development

Undergrad: George Mason University

Fast Fact: I love to cook, and one of my favorite shows of all time is Chef’s Table!

My Journey to MIIS: I am fortunate enough to have lived in Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Ohio, and Germany, which fueled my interest in international relations and policy. Before coming to MIIS, I got my undergraduate degree in global affairs and linguistics at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. I’ve spent the majority of my life in northern Virginia, so I think of it as home. After graduating I went on to work on Capitol Hill and for several NGOs in Washington, D.C.

Before deciding to pursue my graduate studies, I worked for the Saudi Arabian Embassy as part of their Cultural Mission, which administers programs and policies aimed at meeting the educational and cultural needs of Saudi nationals studying in the United States.

In my search for a program that combined my passion for development, policy, and business, I came across the MBA/IPD joint degree program here at MIIS, applied, and haven’t looked back since!

Language of Study: Arabic

Immersive Opportunities: DPMI Cairo and Ambassador Corps-Jordan

Student Life: So many clubs and social events to partake in at MIIS! In addition to that, Monterey offers a wide variety of outdoor activities and beautiful scenery to take in.

My Favorite Things about Monterey: Cafe Lumiere—my absolute favorite place to grab coffee and breakfast. The beach. Access to everything in downtown Monterey by foot.
