MIIS Community Yoga The community yoga class offered during New Student Orientation was so well-received that we decided to continue to offer a Friday morning class -- any member of the MIIS community is welcome to join us. Class will begin at 7:30 and end at 8:30. Bring your mat if you have one, but loaner mats are available. This class will be taught by Rebecca Henriksen.
At this first meeting of the Ultimate Frisbee Club, we will teach basic skills, rules of play, and try to get in at least one game of Ultimate. Meet in Samson at 10AM to walk to the field together. You can find us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/groups/282151768983837/ !
For the Mixtape Exchange Club we are tasked to create musical playlists each month. These workshops would fall on the FRIDAY before the due date. I have received audio editing education from my undergraduate degree and would like to impart this knowledge to others. Audio editing is a viable tool for not only this creative side-project, but also for podcasts, video and audio presentations, and a wide array of other educational applications, creative endeavors, and professional development.
This workshop will provide information about Optional Practical Training (OPT) for graduating F-1 students. We will talk about the application process, application timeline, how to maintain status while on OPT, and commonly asked questions. If you would like to learn more about OPT, or if you intend to apply for OPT, please plan on attending one of the OPT workshops offered during the spring semester.
Join us for a fun Latin dance lesson Friday evenings at 6, or at 7 if there's a social hour. No experience necessary - just come willing to let loose, have a great time, and pick up a new skill with fellow MIIS students!
Welcome to a weekly gathering for Middlebury students who enjoy playing games, socializing, and most importantly, taking a break from all of the studying. We provide an assortment of board games, such as Pandemic, LIFE, Terra Mystica, Betrayal in the House on the Haunted Hill, and many many more. We also have sign ups for D&D meetings if you are interested. We also love to encourage people to bring their own games to play. If you have games that are not played in the U.S. Don't be shy. Bring them along!
