Many MIIS alumni know a “double”—someone who’s attended both MIIS and another Middlebury-affiliated school—but Tim Dwyer and his daughter Emily have now earned the less common and distinct title of “triple.”
On Friday, November 14, aspiring interpreters at the Monterey Institute will demonstrate consecutive interpretation at the Fall Forum, which will focus this year on the one of the most urgent issues of our time: water.
“We are the best recruiters,” say Monterey Institute students and U.S. Army Veterans Jens Wiik and Olga Volcsko, noting that a number of their military friends have joined them after hearing their stories about MIIS.
The new Monterey Institute alumni website offers improved navigation plus the ability for MIIS alumni to connect directly with fellow alumni from throughout the Middlebury family of schools and programs.
Celebrating fall traditions with a three-day festival, the Monterey Institute’s Student Council hosted events ranging from a chili cook-off to a corn husk tournament, offering international students a chance to experience beloved traditions from U.S. and Mexican culture.
